Illinois Senator Barack Obama will become the nation's next president in what some analysts are calling an 'electoral college landslide' as votes were tallied last night in the general election over Senator John McCain.
 
Obama will also catapult into history as the nation's first black president.
 
Democrats also secured their majorities in both the House and Senate, and will control both the White House and Congress for the first time since 1994.
