Crash Claims Life on Highway 9

The Iowa State Patrol reports a man is dead following a fatal crash on Highway 9 in rural Allamakee County yesterday afternoon, Tuesday, Nov. 18.
 
Lester Fish, 93, of Waukon was westbound about 4:15 p.m. on Highway 9, at North Fork Hollow Road, when his vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a barbed wire fence. Fish passed away soon after the accident from a medical problem.
 
Law enforcement authorities say Fish was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
